From a single
forest in Yichun.
BW48.5N began with a simple idea: what if hydration could feel quieter, cleaner, and closer to nature? Our first drink is birch water — a naturally light tree water tapped during the short spring season.
Why 48.5°N?
BW48.5N takes its name from the northern latitude connected to Yichun, a forested region known for cold winters, clean air, and birch trees that wake each spring with a brief flow of sap.
That seasonal moment is what inspired the brand. Birch water is not manufactured to be sweet, loud, or overly functional. It is naturally subtle — lightly mineral, faintly sweet, and refreshingly clean.
Our goal is to introduce birch water to modern wellness consumers in a way that feels premium, simple, and easy to understand.
Less added.
More found.
We believe the future of better-for-you beverages is not about adding more ingredients just to sound functional. It is about starting with something naturally interesting and treating it with restraint.
BW48.5N is built around natural lightness, clean sourcing, and an experience that fits into everyday routines — from morning resets to afternoon hydration to post-workout refreshment.
Built for a
modern pantry.
We are beginning with birch water, but we are building BW48.5N as a broader wellness platform under Wide Zone Food.
Over time, the brand can expand into other clean-label beverages and health-forward foods while keeping the same core values: nature-led, thoughtfully sourced, and designed for the U.S. wellness consumer.
What guides us
Natural taste over heavy sweetness. Clear education over exaggerated claims. Premium design over clutter. Responsible growth over trend chasing.
